CSI to Host Esports Arena Ribbon Cutting

TWIN FALLS, ID – The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) would like to invite the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony, celebrating the unveiling of the new CSI Esports Arena. The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in room 108 of the John C. Hepworth building on the CSI campus.

The new Esports Arena will be the home of the CSI Golden Eagles official Esports team. Once the team is established, CSI hopes to enter National Junior College Athletics Association Esports (NJCAAE) play as early as Fall of 2026.

“The addition of this competitive space reflects our continued commitment to meeting students where their interests are.” said Dr. Jonathan Lord, CSI Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “We are excited to enter the NJCAA Esports community and look forward to the opportunities it gives our students to compete, connect, and grow.”

The ceremony will be hosted by Dr. Lord and will feature remarks from CSI President Dr. L. Dean Fisher, and the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce. CSI students will be in attendance playing popular game titles, allowing attendees to observe play in the arena environment. Members of the public are invited to attend and celebrate this event.
